Nay. I had Windows on here originally, but I hadn't booted into it in 6 months and I needed the 160G drive for movies, so away it went.

I would imagine something like Maple Story might play well under Virtual Box. I tried playing Quake Live under VBox and the mouse lag was unbearable, even with guest addons.

i don't understand the love/hate relationships that people form to such trivial things.

A few years back I loved playing Neverwinter Nights, but I played probably 6+ hours a day and I just don't have that kind of time anymore, nor would I want to devote that much time if I did. So is there a mmorpg out there that doesn't require you to quit your day job?

I felt the same way, but if you don't put a lot of time and effort into Guild Wars, it's the same as all the rest. Every time I play i just eventually quit because of how out of hand everyone else is about the whole thing.

i thought GW was a great game to casually play actually, as long as you dont PvP.

ofcourse this was back when it was still new and new players were coming in every day.

i had played a lot when it was new too and really loved playing it. I re-installed it on my new PC a year or so later and I just didn't have the time to devote to it. There's just a lot to learn and know like any other MMORPG. If i didn't go to school the two nights a week I go i would be able to give more time to it.

I used to really like playing DAoC but there isn't enough people on there to make it worth it anymore.

And i did try a 2 week trial of WoW and liked it, but again with the time thing.

Browser games are nice for those with little time to devote to games, though they're admittedly lacking in action. Ikariam has been great for me.

Does it have a "game store" where you can purchase items with real money?

Micro-payment games are gayer than a four-man orgy.

You either have to pay through the teeth to gear out your character or be the bitch of everyone else who did. Even if the game still lets you earn the items with effort, they mean nothing because any noob with a credit card can buy them and pretend to be just as pro as you. It ruined Gunbound IMO.

I really like the way the warcraft economy has been tightly managed by Blizzard and with the new achievement system its even easier to spot a moron from a pro.

Plus, most micro-payment games tend to be mindless korean grindfests like Lineage 2.
