Wolfenstein trailer

Post by Plan B »

Posted today on gametrailers.

Looks better than what I've seen in screenshots so far.
Doesn't really tell much about gameplay, of course, but I'm definitely a bit more interested now.

The visual is great but the concept is deceptive as always.

All hope is lost...

No coop? They are fucking RETARDED.

Changing the MP elements so it includes the Vale...? WTF is this shit, it shouldn't even be in the game anyway it looks so pathetic...

And why does BJ look and sound like a mix between a retard and Fonzi...?

Jesus, this games dropped totally off my radar now...

a13n: nazis in fact rejected capitalism. If you're going to bullshit, at least get your facts straight. And weren't you banned?

odium: ffs, why always seek fault in everything? So it doesn't support coop. Plenty of quality games around that also don't support coop.

Because the first was highly slated for its lack of coop? Because all the new games have coop in some form?

BJ looks like a complete tool, and he never used to. He sounds like a muppet? What was he based on, Mutt from the new Indy films?

And as for the Vale... It's probably the worst sounding part of the game, and yet now they add it to what should be a classic MP game, which means they ARE messing with MP, which is exactly what people dont want.

Thats Raven for you...

Looks like it will be a good crack to be honest. So what, no co-op? We have a lot of titles now that are co-op. We just need to MP to be solid, reasonably straight forward and to have learned a little from GoW and CoD and we are fine. Of course it could just emulate the Wolfenstein from a while back and we would be loving every second of it.

I remember playing over Memphis's place til 3am, both of our PC's in a room and me using a tray as a desk. We rocked it up on the same team and it was absolute gold. Good times :)

i would rather play co-op though, it makes SP that much more interesting.

Edit: and now watching that movie, it does look a bit dated... and Doom3 circa 1946.

I've never really played any of the later fps games, other than quake3, but I've seen screenshots and ingame movies of some of the newer ones, and they look way better than this.

Yeah, what's the deal with that? Looks dated indeed.

Looks like it'll be fun. I don't see where the complaints about the graphics are coming from, they look fine to me.

Probably because it's not UT3/Gears?

Looks much better in motion than the shots to me and I'd rather have a drop in textures for the sake of being able to add more "stuff" on screen. Co-op would have been good but the way the game is penned as being somewhat sandbox-i-esque, it should have decent crawl-all-over-the-world type immersion :paranoid:

Its not sandbox anymore. That was cut a longtime ago. Its more like the original now, in that its level progression...

dont get me wrong, i'll still buy it and play it.. it does look fun..

but i'm just wondering why they are putting this title with ( somewhat ) hype behind it, and it looks dated right out of the gates..

The 12 year old AOLers/Halo players arnt going to even give this a look, and that is sadly where the market is.....

Wasn't too impressed by the trailer, but the stuff I've seen in the video doombrain posted does make me enthousiastic about the game.

the graphics do look outdated, wonder why they chose to go down that road. Either way it's sexy enough to keep you into the game, no harsh feelings really.

I mean even back when they conceived the idea of making the game, these graphics would have been considered last generation.

Just who is the target audience? are they going to release it for any consoles, or is this PC based only?

It's developed using the Doom3 engine which is why it looks a bit dated. Time flies so you may not realize that that's 4.5 years ago. That said, even the worst bits doesn't look terrible, while other parts look pretty impressive. There are quite a few things that have me intrigued, particularly the gameplay elements involving the vale.

Actually, the link Doombrain posted looks pretty awesome, actually better than the trailer itself.
