I'm a member there as well.

I've not seen that one around here. I'll give it a try when I do.

No, but it might mean you enjoy decent beers instead of the usual draft swill.

There are plenty of obscure beers that suck, at least IMO.

I just enjoy the excitement of trying new beers I've never heard of and sharing with friends. Usually I wouldn't post it but this one was worth the time.

next time you're in vegas go to the freakin frog...it's literally right across the street from unlv on maryland pkwy. they have tons and tons of beer
http://www.freakinfrog.com/userside/alc ... 1024d42638

i used to go there all the time for happy hour where every day they sell different beers at half price so i got to try all sorts of things.

plus with all those beers its tough to choose or know where to start but the bartenders know their shit so you can basically describe what you feel like drinking and they'll find the right beer for you

theres not much around where I live now...i didn't realize how spoiled I was. now i just buy $9 pitchers of budweiser when im out and drink whiskey on the rocks at home. good beer is an expensive hobby

it would suck having to hide the beer from mom and drinking in the bathroom in front of her kmart-bathroom-art, but how do you explain the empty glass in the dishwasher to her?

hope theres a window in that bathroom so you can make a quick escape from the copz

Karmeliet Tripel. 8.5% but without the 'brick in stomach' effect that often comes with strong brews. Tried it today for the first time and I'm going out tomorrow to get me a sixpack. Recommended, will drink again.

in a beer topic :olo:
It's the equivalent of waltzing in on a cheese tasting party and proclaiming that processed cheese slices are the next best thing.
