Backpacking in Europe

Post by Mr.Sparkle! »

So I plan to go backpacking in Europe this summer. Hope to see some of you fags? Anyways what's the best way to travel? Do I need to reserve hostels before hand? Any tips/advice on this? I plan to travel for 2 weeks. I was looking at eurorail passes, which the price wasn't too bad for. (around $650 USD). Any recommendations?

reserve before hand is only what pussies do
real men just go and see where they end up.

srsly, it's much more fun when you drift

It is said Amsterdam is the Venice of northern europe... come here instead and perhaps i'll let you buy me a beer.
Why not? Instead of Venice i would recommend Florence btw, which is Italy's best city by far. Or Barcelona if you go to Spain.

Would also not worry too much about reservations, what emka said... drifting and seeing what will happen is much more fun. And train is an excellent way to travel

Well Italy is a bit strange in that roughly below Napoli the entire country is dirt poor and above it they are ludicrously wealthy.

Maybe so... :)
There have been all sorts of political parties that run on the platform of declaring independence from the south over the years... The most famous one is led by the granddaughter of Mussolini, who routinely livens up the political debate with remarks like these:
Alessandra Mussolini, a member of a right wing party just welcomed into Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi's coalition, made the derogatory comments on a TV chat show in Italy.

Reuters reported that she praised her ancestral ties to "Il Duce", and felt it was "better to be a fascist than a faggot."

Ms Mussolini was reacting to Vladimir Luxuria, who is campaigning to become Europe's first transgender MP, after she asked if the dictator's descendant would lock up gay people.

Barcelona is definately a place you want to visit with a backpack. If your ankles can handle it or you can thumb a ride, after Barcelona go north up to Bay Of Roses and continue through the south of France...and then hit Venice.
