Re: 2008-2009 Stanley Cup Playoffs
Boston/San Jose final with Boston winning in 6.
Re: 2008-2009 Stanley Cup Playoffs
Montreal...could've gotten the all-important win but they just couldn't finish and broke apart in the 3rd period. Bruins didn't play really well but I'm sure they're up and awake now. I see the Habs winning maybe one game for the rest of the series.
Calgary-Chicago game was complete bullshit. First Cammalleri does his Carcillo impression on Havlat for no reason and takes away the momentum his team had. In OT, Ladd clearly interferes with Kiprusoff and the Hawks win with a ridiculous, cheap goal. If that had been Luongo or Brodeur in net, the goal would've been disallowed.
Anaheim-San Jose was a great game. Selanne was flying, I can't believe he didn't score at least two goals with the chances he had. Hiller was sensational (and lucky, the Sharks hit the post quite a few times). Ducks held on for the big shutout win. Suddenly San Jose looks very vulnerable in their own arena. Sharks fans sure are a cocky bunch considering their team has never amounted to anything in the post-season. Glad they've been shut up for at least a day.
Detroit owned Columbus and Osgood played a solid game for the first time all season.

Re: 2008-2009 Stanley Cup Playoffs
Sunday's games:
Philadelphia and Pittsburgh combined to put up the best game of the playoffs so far. Plenty of hits and goals, but weak goaltending on both sides. You can tell when a team is too much for Pittsburgh when Malkin loses the puck trying to go coast to coast and Crosby pulls off his disappearing act and vanishes. Couple more games like that by Philly and they'll have the Pens in a stranglehold.
Surprisingly the Blues actually hit the net in game 3! As a result, they score a couple goals on Lucky Luongo but still lose the game because of undisciplined play and a weak Chris Mason. Must be embarrassing getting thumped like that by the Canucks.
Hiller and his goal posts once again came out on top and the Ducks now have the Sharks by their aquatic balls. 2ez
New Jersey and Carolina, yawn. Jersey won in OT.
Monday's games:
Flames pick up their play and Kipper takes care of the rest. Chicago gets thumped 4-2 and now that Iginla's finally been awakened, game 4 should be interesting. I'm thinking (hoping) Flames will take the series in 6, Chicago's first two wins were complete flukes.
Rangers got thumped by Varlamov and the Caps. Buh-bye Josieve Theodore?
But the lulz of the night goes to the Montreal Habnots getting raped by Boston to no one's surprise. Their retarded fans usually blame Koivu when Kovalev gives away the puck or Price lets in a couple stinkers. Classy.

Re: 2008-2009 Stanley Cup Playoffs
I am totally impressed by Osgood's play so far. Its like he wasn't taking the regular season seriously (and why would he, with as many rings as Brodeur?).
Re: 2008-2009 Stanley Cup Playoffs
So Detroit continues pummeling Mason's ass, no surprise there. Suddenly those regular season stats don't seem too important when he can't steal them a win in the playoffs, hmm?
Jussi Jokinen scored with 0.2 seconds left to give Carolina a 4-3 win.
Canucks swept the Blues, somehow a mediocre AHL team made it to the NHL playoffs.
Philadelphia really shot themselves in the foot by not capitalizing on all their chances. Down 3-1 they're probably done for with the next game at the Igloo.
San Jose Chokers finally got a win against Anaheim while both sides suffered from weak goaltending in that one.

Avery was a healthy scratch off the Rangers' roster. It couldn't have happened to a bigger cunt.
