I read an article about it a while ago and said to myself 'hey that sounds like something interesting'.
Because Wackal wouldn't know a good movie if it took a dump in his mouth.
Thick, solid and tight in all the right places.

The X-Men movie - 7/10

Not as good as I hoped. The cameos don't bother me though. Good, not great.

Defiance

A movie based on a true story, a battle against the Germans in eastern Europe by a rag tag band of partisans.

Well presented and a must see, if you get the chance.

Only one word from me on this and the part played by Daniel Craig.....

Brilliant :!:

Will you say the same about Inglourious Basterds?

Which btw I saw the trailer for last night when I saw Wolverine. It will be great, not good.

X-men Origins: Wolverine - 8/10

Exactly what I expected, though I wanted more from Gambit. He was my second favourite character in the cartoons (which you can get on blu-ray now btw) and I wanted more action from him. Other than that I enjoyed it

Wolverine 2/10

How did any of you actually like this? It was cheesy as fuck.

Wolverine - 5/10

It was way too sappy and cliched. And it was hard to watch Ryan Reynolds and not think of an overly-confident and cheeky lifelong college student. I'm also getting a bit tired of Live-Free-Die-Hard-esque scenes, like a motorcycle versus a helicopter on a highway. GEE I WONDER WHO IS GOING TO WIN THIS ONE

I was disappointed.

***WARNING SPOILERS BELOW***
Hint: if you want to really explore what makes a man the way he is, don't give half the movie to a romance that wasn't even real, but only spend about 30 seconds on the fact that he accidentally killed his own father.

And how can Gambit suddenly do aerial acrobatics across 25 feet of open air?

But I liked what they did with Deadpool.

I agree with everything you said minus the Deadpool comment.

Having said that, with the secret endings they essentially ret-conned the DP thing anyway.

Tyson
8/10

He comes across as a very honest person who admits he made bad decisions and was taken advantage of. He comes across as very sympathetic, the documentary changed my opinion of him.

Yea, hollywood retcons are nothing new -- I pretty much expect them to some extent for any comic conversion these days -- but what secret endings are you talking about?

I recently surprised myself by realizing that I actually want to see this. I heard pieces of an interview with him recently, and it sounded like what you're describing.

Do you feel his responses were legitimate? Most of the material I've seen of him suggests he has the intellectual capacity of George W. at about 10 years old.

The Curious Case of Benjamin's Butthole: 6/10 Sentimental pap w/ a twist. The only reason I didn't give it a 4 or 5 is because Fincher's compositions are faultless. Storywise, just not a lot here...the drama is not especially dramatic...and the title character is about as deep as your average mud puddle.

That's still significantly higher than the intellectual capacity of George W. at about 60 years old.

I saw Wolverine the other night, I'll give it a lol out of 10. And not in the good way.

Being intelligent and being earnest aren't the same thing.

What I'm suggesting is that what he is saying might not be his own words. The guy has said and done some stupid shit over the years, and been hit in the head many times. I can only assume he's nearly incapable of making a comprehensible statement. I understand he may be earnest, but I have my doubts that he's being completely honest. Then again, I am interested now so I'll have to watch the film.

what part of this don't you understand?

"Lennox Lewis, I'm coming for you man. My style is impetuous. My defense is impregnable, and I'm just ferocious. I want your heart. I want to eat his children. Praise be to Allah!"

Well, I watched the film last night. It shed some light into his world, but I gotta say I don't feel sorry for the guy. He did some stupid shit, but at least he settled down.

There are three endings after the credits (you get a different one depending on where you see the movie). In one it's just Wolvering drinking in a bar in Japan. In another you see someone digging through the rubble at the end of the movie, they pick up DP's head, camera pans up and it's Ryan Reynolds - he says "Who's this guy supposed to be?"

Then in the third it's the same thing, but instead Reynold's just looks at the camera and goes "Shhhhh".
