PHOTOS PLEASE

Re: PHOTOS PLEASE
Not for the faint-hearted.
Last week the surgeons called me during my shift that a boy was coming in with a spear-injury. The spear had entered his skin at his right upper thorax and exited his right upper arm. The boy told me that he was running during gym class and was blinded by the sun and tripped on a thrown spear.
He's a lucky bastard cause there was hardly any injury or bloodloss. We removed the spear without problems and left a drain for the wound. All done in 30 minutes. I have to admit, for a 14 y.o., he was quite relaxed without much anxiety or stress.

Re: PHOTOS PLEASE
Indeed he is a lucky bastard......
How accidents happen
He probably was more worried about the transport to the hospital.

Re: PHOTOS PLEASE
there goes doctor-patient privilege anyway
Re: PHOTOS PLEASE
Doctor-patient privilege only applies to things a patient tells you.
The only thing saturn would be guilty of (in the US) is HIPAA violation since he gave the age and sex of the patient.

Here are some photographs from various trips. I recently bought Adobe Lr 2.0, so I was messing around with it.

Here's some more:

Fanatic: I remember one of pictures you took in Korea. IIRC, it was done in film. I TRIED to replicate it but I just couldn't get the colours.

Re: PHOTOS PLEASE
Ok,I know that I suck horribly compared to the rest of the stuff on this page, but here is my first ever HDR attempt. I know there is too much ghosting around that tree, but I'm just learning how to play with all the settings. Even though its not a technically impressive shot, its more interesting than the single exposures of the same thing. I want to avoid over processed HDR that looks completely fake though. Being able to put together even remotely like Fx's (I think it was his page I was looking at anyway) HDR stuff is the goal, and I have a loooooooong way to go to get there.

Re: PHOTOS PLEASE
Also just got a new toy - a wireless shutter release for the 50D. The canon brand was over $300 here in town. I got a knockoff on ebay (brand was called Yongnuo) that works fine and has the autofocus function, bulb function, etc., for $30. Shipped for free from Hong Kong.
Going to get some good squirrel shots with this I hope.

Of the 828 photos I took at the drag strip today, this one is one of the top 5 favorites.

Re: PHOTOS PLEASE
the ghosting is cause by small movements of the leaves. pin-sharp HDR shots of foliage are virtually impossible, because even when you think there's no breeze, there's always some air movement. good effort though for a first trytnf wrote:Ok,I know that I suck horribly compared to the rest of the stuff on this page, but here is my first ever HDR attempt.
