This type of attack which is resilient against a full hard drive wipe is considered the holy grail of computer hacking because the hardware has been infected. Once the Apple keyboard (USB or BlueTooth) is infected, it is extremely difficult to detect and the only practical way to get rid of the infection is to throw away the keyboard.

How much memory are we talking about on these things? Are we talking days' worth of keystrokes or minutes? This is outrageous whatever the case.

Note to self - if you ever buy a Mac buy an extra non-Apple keyboard as well!

i would think that it would only have the possibility of logging sub 15 key strokes on the Memory,

but if it only uses that as a buffer and continues to dump it to the Computer via an app, its more then enough.
