Re: PHOTOS PLEASE

I cannot figure out how to keep things from looking way more washed-out the internet compared to what they look like in CS2. I'm shooting in sRGB. Not sure what I need to do in CS2 to address this issue.

Re: PHOTOS PLEASE
tnf, you have to teach me how to do HDR images like that. I tried to used photomatix but I failed. LOL.
Re: PHOTOS PLEASE
#1 is very nice.
colour might be down to the browser. what's your settings in cs?
tomorrow i'm talking my camera on my ride, there's an awesome sunset on the route i do.

Re: PHOTOS PLEASE
What settings would even be looking for? Right now I am really frustrated because I have a very vibrant .psd file that looks absolutely flat and shitty when I save it to jpeg and put it online.
edit: I think I figured it out after fucking around with some of the profile stuff in color settings.

Re: PHOTOS PLEASE
Another HDR - took this around sunrise, the low sunlight hitting this textured aluminum made it look like it was almost molten in some places.

Thick, solid and tight in all the right places.

Shrooms!

Saprophytic, probably not hallucinogenic though.

isn't the rule white = death?
Re: PHOTOS PLEASE
Not sure...
Another view of the same sculpture as before, was experimenting with different HDR looks, I was going for something intentionally more processed and surreal looking here. You can see the ghost of a guy walking past. Should have definitely used a shallower DOF so all the background wasn't in focus.

Re: PHOTOS PLEASE
Really liking my Tokina 12-24.

Re: PHOTOS PLEASE
good stuff
how many exposures is that? HDR is a nightmare to get right when there's foliage...

Re: PHOTOS PLEASE
3 exposures, -2, 0, +2, but I do several HDR's of one scene with different light smoothing, microcontrast, etc., settings, then use CS2 to blend them together, using layer masks to bring out the specific parts of each HDR'd image I want to use in the final composite.seremtan wrote:good stuffhow many exposures is that? This one here, though, is right out of Photomatix, just resized.
Re: PHOTOS PLEASE
cloud cover sells the pic, nice one
Re: PHOTOS PLEASE
Some more HDR (I'm working on a project of local landmarks HDR'd for a small exhibit in the fall and I was contacted about the possibility of a book of HDR's shots of the area by a small publisher /printshop in the area....if it happens it's going to be a bit because I need to go through all the seasons to get all the shots I'd want in it.) Very small-time stuff regardless - and I'm not quite sure if I'd be up for it because I still don't feel like I am ready for something like that...still so much to learn. These are right out of photomatix with some small tweaks (resized, selective sharpening, etc.).

Re: PHOTOS PLEASE

Here's an example of an HDR'd shot I did some work on in CS2 afterwards.
To create this one I used two different HDR images of the building, each had different light smoothing and microcontrast settings. Then I put one on top of the other and used a mask to blend in the two (the bottom image had the top of the building way too dark, so I used a version with the top of the building lighter and blended it).
Re: PHOTOS PLEASE
nice work. i should really do more post-post-processing with layers...
Re: PHOTOS PLEASE
