I'm still trying to understand what motivates bodybuilders to get bigger and bigger - I can understand that there is an art and science to developing one's physique, and that succeeding in this art is a reward of its own, but don't you agree that there are some serious costs, including becoming less attractive?
I've trained with a heavyweight competitive bodybuilder who didn't seem to have any problems finding women that didn't find the muscle mass unattractive. Like anything, some people like it, some don't.

i guess there are women that don't mind it, but I'd much prefer to look like an underwear model or olympic athlete than a pro body builder, and my guess is that the vast majority of women would share that preference.

Not everyone trains for the same reason. I don't consider one reason more valid than another. But to that end, I've met bodybuilders who think that if you aren't juicing and training to try and look like Dorian Yates you don't even belong in a gym, so that issue goes in different directions.

think i'm approaching my limit for db rows right now. did 105 pounds yesterday and felt way heavier than the jump from 95 to 100. Could only manage 5 or 6 reps and I couldn't get the entire range of motion with them. Geoff can u videotape yourself doing them if possible? I wanna see your form.

Damn, Week 2 of the P90x and I found my week spot. I have not done a pull up in about 5 years, only simulated with bands.

This weekend I installed a bar in my workout area. For starters I can only do about 3 unassisted or 7 - 10 with 1 leg on a chair 3 feet out.

Also doing the real pull ups dropped my push ups down between 5 - 7 per set.

You will increase really fast in pull ups with the workouts. They have some interesting modifications on the traditional pull up that really increase the intensity too.

I was hoping for that, when I did the hundredpushups.com I ramped up quickly. I was pretty disappointed in my pull up abilities...

In the recovery week of phase 1. We repeated a week because we missed 1 workout. My wife stuck it out with me also and she's actually got some muscles forming and needs stronger bands as well.

I was checking out my before pics and I can see a nice change in my mid section. I can also see more defining lines in my abs and my arms and legs have seriously leaned out. I still got some flab to burn off, but from what I read Phase 2 will take care of most of that.

I started at 193.4lbs and I'm down to 188.2 after 4 weeks of phase 1. I'm looking to drop another 12 - 14 lbs

Good god man. I've lost almost two stone in three months by cycling 40 - 90 miles a week.
Takes no more than 1-2 hours a day and is very enjoyable.

28 pounds in three months is pretty much where I was at last month. Now I have leveled off at between 1 and 1/2 pound a week. Which is a good comfortable level for me after 4 1/2 months total I'm down 34 pounds.

I was looking at my activity schedule for WW and from August 1st through August 31st I spent 1764 minutes exercising doing the p90x

So I went from 0 minutes pre-June to 120 minutes June and July with hundredpushups.com up to 1764 minutes with p90x in August

Here is a new weight loss chart as well.

i started working out recently 10 - 15 mins a day

dont really have any real equitment besides a few dumbels .

i training 4 a super slow metabilizm ey so i eat 1 time maybe 2 time a day but i eat b4 bed tho.

the diets quite fatty 4 the energy .
so i dont get hungrey and i have energy all the time

so if i dont eat for a very long time i dont lose muscle lose energy.

my theory is to train the bottom of my limit not to push the top of my limit.

my resting heartrate is 50-60

Remember when you were an out of shape dish washer? You wore your apron all day not because you were busy, but because it hid the truth from your eyes that you were getting out of shape?

I'm on the road to becoming stronger, faster and more like you. When I get there I will be sure to send some pictures ;)

12 clean reps with one arm db rows - 105 pounds. Asked one of the biggest guys in the gym to watch my form and make sure I wasn't cheating.

Not bad for a 160 pound moran.
