If you hover your mouse in the cell beside where it says "top" under your name and avater, a text select cursor appears for about an inch wide, what's that for?

edit: Oh yeah, it's under the post cell. Move your mouse along the thin cell below the post cell. At the left side it does change to text select. Or just highlight the page and you'll see it.

its reserved space for moar icons, e.g. moderation icons.
it could be 'resolved' if the phpbb adds [icon+space] instead of dynamically adding icons while keeping the spaces static
