I think the argument that he was a talented dickhead, while true, doesn't really cover it either

what's distasteful about this, compared with the other "real people" in the GH games, is that the guy killed himself at least in part because he didn't like being a corporate whore (whether that's true or even relevant is a whole different argument), so it does feel a lot like pissing on his grave.

Compare this with e.g. Jimi Hendrix, whose inability to mount a sufficient gag reflex is rather appropriate in this context...

@Geebs - fun piece of trivia. Spanish Castle Magic was in GH1 long time ago (covered version). Just before going gold the Hendrix institution decided that the singer who imitated Hendrix sounded to much like the real thing and they didnt want the real Hendrix to be associated with "just a video game". So, the SCM in GH1 is instrumental as a result.

never mind that the Hendrix character actually was in one of the GH installments as a playable character tho :/
