Heh yeh. A few jobs ago i worked with a very friendly, intelligent and totally christian woman. We connected on many levels and spoke about many things, usually thinking the same things about them - with the exception of a few key issues, where we had complete failure of understanding. I liked her, so i made an effort not to curse in front of her and to avoid the obvious touchy subjects... but i felt she never showed me the same courtesy because she kept making the occasional god remark trying to either use it as an argument of some sort or just blatantly luring me over to team jesus. At first this annoyed me and i considered telling her i found it offensive.. but then i realized she meant it well and it didn't matter what i'd tell her because she'd keep doing it - so i smiled and nodded and tried to ignore the reli comments.GONNAFISTYA wrote:There is absolutely no reason to think that - given the slightest opening - your family will NOT continue to push religion on you and continue to ignore the books you've suggested they read.
It was weird because she was pretty much the only christian person i've ever met that i could have meaningful conversations with... but she still dissapointed me.
