I've shot this thing before, but this is the first 7 exposure HDR I've tried.

Looks like something out of a level in HL2.

Great pic BTW.

Cool shot man, i call it "Irish Armageddon".

the only thing that really kills the old-time hellraiser look for me is the yellow cable guard on the telephone pole support line in the bottom right corner. I'd reccomend PS'ing that out.

Saturday night was the Gasparilla night parade... i was walking with the rough riders float as 'security' and was invited by the color guard, all I really did was take pictures. I REALLY wish the camera could do more than 1600ISO. I used the big 70-300mm lens only for the wider aperture at 70mm. Most of the night shots were between 1/13th and 1/40th shutter depending on how many street lamps were around. All the pictures of the crowd behind the fences were taken while walking which is fucking hard.
All but one of the shots in the set have been cropped a bit and adjusted a little.

If someone was looking at me while I took their picture, i put it up on flickr... unless they were ughhh

First time I've really extended the ISO for indoor action.

This was taken at ISO 12800 - being able to shoot at such high framerates with indoor lighting is nice.

All kinds of awesome. Agreed about PSing the cable guard out. Still badass.

That's a sweet pic tnf, reminds me of Diablo 2 or something... maybe more blood and fire is necessary though. Also reminiscent of some Quake 3 stuff.

Ever thought about doing photography for bands' albums? You could probably come up with some pretty gnarly stuff if you had a specific idea or theme to chase.

It's list price is $4999, but it's still so hard to find that places are selling it for $6000+ in some cases. I lucked out to get mine at $5000.

I thought some of these shot styles might work for that - someone else suggested that the HDR shot of the truck I did looked like it could be an album cover. Maybe I should look into some local bands to see if anyone wants to try something like that with me this summer...

beautiful pic if not for the dynamics of movement then for the brilliance of color. the stark contrast and sharpness of the photo with the brilliance of the colors really make this shot pop.

it's pretty much awesome.

i took a few more pics of that boat, but unfortunately i was with a friend who was in a shit mood with no patience for photography generally, so couldn't really stop for more. in fact, that picture was the only good thing about the whole afternoon, frankly :disgust:

First one is the Olympic torch relay in Langley and the rest were taken at the Olympic protests outside of BC Place where the opening night ceremonies were being held.

I like pictures of Canada, awesome country.

Over the weekend I took photos for the 101st Airborne reunion in Orlando, FL. Still going through those... the light was horrible.
