Not really programming... but I'll try here anyway... (math)

Post by Hipshot »

Ok, I need help with this:

Image

You see the outer curve...
What is the size on that? What is the formula?

What I do know is, that it's not:

2xInner curve
2.5xInner Curve
3xInner Curve

And Inner curve is the distance between the tracks, kinda like the red line, slightly smaller...

I confess to not being the best at maths, kinda forgot most things. =)

What do you mean by size? Do you mean the distance between the tracks (outlined in red)? Radius? Circumference?

Also, a little tight of a curve for railway tracks, no?

The formula for this situation should be c=2πr

(Edit: That's Pi, the font on Q3W makes it look funny)

One more thing, I'm guessing you're using the basic bend modifier? Have you tried the pathdeform modifier?

I should have been more clear. I blame it on bad language knowledge...

I totally forgot about Pi. Thanks for that one, now It's easier to solve it.

(I didn't post in LEM, just to avoid getting comments on the aesthetic of the curve =) I know it was too narrow before, it was just a test... =))
