again you refuse to read the science so here's a snippet of one report...

On the other hand the impairment in driving skills does not appear to be severe, even immediately after taking cannabis, when subjects are tested in a driving simulator. This may be because people intoxicated by cannabis appear to compensate for their impairment by taking fewer risks and driving more slowly, whereas alcohol tends to encourage people to take greater risks and drive more aggressively (POST note 113; cp DH p 240).

I've read the articles you posted. I also know from personal experience weed affects speed and judgement. Trying to justify it as somehow not having the very effects people smoke the stuff for is really reaching. Again, driving under the influence of anything is a dumb idea.

well don't drive stoned then you utter feeb

many people are good cautious drivers when high though and there is overwhelming evidence to support this claim.

My point is that its a mind altering fucking substance, thats the very reason people smoke it. Driving under the influence of weed, or anything else that skews perception, is almost as dumb as driving drunk.

I am not a stoner and Obliv can insult me all he wants to. Maybe I worded what I meant wrong. Weed doesn't affect a driver the same way. There isn't the same degree of danger.

I am not a stoner. I don't smoke anything or drink anything anymore. Driving under any influence isn't real bright: there are just different degrees of dnager is all.

FFS, it does slow reaction times and isn't bright to be under the influence of anything while driving. It should still result in a DUI, but I'm not saying it is as bad as driving while drunk. Following along yet or do you need pictures to help you understand?

Seeing as how it was me who avoided the accident I think we can deduce one thing; being stoned makes you a super-hero driver.

i bike lots (about 200 miles/week) and have done it both stoned and drunk many, many, far, far too many times and there is no comparison in the control over my body i possess whilst blazed versus being drunk. i am so focused at times that i quite possibly am invisible, reading peds/traffic patterns and the road almost instinctively.

drunk, i am VERY lucky i don't do faceplants.

edit: more often :icon32:
