YourGrandpa wrote:I went to the range today and shot my AR pistol for the first time. I must say, that gun is quite fun. It doesn't have much kick, but it makes one hell of a bang and shoots out a good size flame. The sound accompanied by the shock waves is enough to make the shooters in neighboring lanes stop and take notice, and sometimes leave their lane until you finishing firing. :D
That sounds quite antisocial.

Maybe that's what you wanted to ask. But if you actually read what you typed, you'd clearly see that's not what you asked. You asked if I was expecting a zombie invasion or something just as ridiculous. In which I replied with the comments above.

Please understand that I realise what direction you intended to carry the conversation and politely offered a realistic alternative. At this point you can stop being a fucking retard, if that is at all possible.

Thank you. :D

I have to say that even as a proponent of firearms, that dude (and pretty much everyone that carries openly) is a retard. If you're trying to project a "don't fuck with me" demeanor, that's not the way to do it. Wearing a sidearm, unless you're a law enforcement agent, makes you look like a micro-penised ladyboy.

How are those people like me? I can't (by law) open carry and don't have the desire to do so. Although I'm not foolish enough to make any assumptions about the people that do open carry, nor would I be afraid of someone that did.

I didnt want an alternative, im trying to understand the reasoning, if you understood the direction i wanted to go then why not simply answer instead of answering a question with a question ?, when i asked 'what are you expecting', i was asking for a reason why someone would need that many guns.

Your answer, was a question, to which there is no answer because everyone collects something for there own reasons !

so, ill clear it up. Why do you own guns ? and why that many ? to shoot at paper ? is not like its a competitive sport (or do you participate in competitive sports ?) or anything and most other hobbies, like knitting or painting work towards a goal.

Would we be having this conversation if I were buying different cars? I don't think so. If you were truly interested you would have phrased your previous question involving zombies differently. You clearly have some misguided/predetermined agenda and are looking to pile on with the rest of these morons. So don't play like you want some kind of serious interaction. Furthermore, my response (even though in the form of a question) to you would have been descriptive enough for anyone with half a brain to understand why I own multiple firearms. But since you require further explanation, I'll indulge you by answering the following question that will further emphasize my previous response.

1. Why do you own cars? Because I find them interesting.
2. Why do you own so many cars? Because I enjoy working on and using the various types available for purchase.
3. Do you drive competitively? No. I'm not sure why I'd have to compete or otherwise justify why I enjoy collecting something I can legally own.

Are you getting the point yet?

if i remember correctly he already said something about why earlier on in the thread. i think he said its becuase it makes him feel powerful. or maybe his wife felt that way. i cant remember exactly. either way, its the way that insecure, small-minded folk think.

Christ, you just prance around a subject dont you ?, guns are designed for killing, no bones about it, so saying 'wtf you gunna do with that many guns' is a logical question to ask, even though i made a tounge in cheek comment that wasnt meant to be taken literally anyway, obviously, just someone who hoards guns, i will automatically think thats the house i want in a zombie attack... guns are used to kill, your not going to kill people, so why the fuck not make up a zombie invasion scenario ?... dont get all touchy, just prancing round the subject makes me think that your avoiding it, which is what anyone would think in a similiar situation.

So you call youself a general gun collector ?, in my experience collectors usually buy collectors items, to either make a complete set or particular items from particular periods, same in car collection, some people only like to buy american or ford or rare / antique, you appear to buy anything you like.

I dont know any car collector that goes out and buys 2 Ford mondeo's, 1 Granada and a scooter

So you don't know any collectors that collect things they like? :tard:

BTW, collecting doesn't have a set of standards or list of requirements. Some people collect news paper clippings FFS. Listen, it’s pointless for me to defend my position against someone who has an unchangeable opinion. Please continue to have your opinion and I’ll have mine. I answered your questions in a fashion that would not only prove a point, but also provide you with my response. I didn’t “prance” around anything. To further my point, not everything is ultimately used for what it is designed. Were cars designed to run over people, were golf clubs designed to cave in peoples skulls, were axes designed to chop off peoples limbs, etc… Why do we allow adults own any of those things? I’ll tell you. They all have other practical uses and require the use by a disturbed individual to kill.
