Zone Alarm

Post by bork[e] »

Downloaded ZoneAlarm's free firewall software and I like it so far. I'm running Windows 2k Pro now so I thought I would give 'er a go. Have a few questions though:

I want to set ZoneAlarm back to 100% default level. Block every port except 80. But where it shows how many programs and all are able to access the net, I can't see what all has access and what doesn't. Where do I go to set everything back to default level, and then where do I go to see what all has access...?

Also, the thing blocks about 200 ping per night from different address...this normal??

[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.

It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.

I am now sick.

hmmm, I did notice a difference in-game with pings and dropped packets to servers I have never had problems with last night...............didn't think twice about it though.

I also don't like how you can't see what programs you have allowed access and their ports ect... maybe someone can tell me how but in pc-chillin can you?

http://download.zonelabs.com/bin/media/ ... manual.pdf

Above is a link to the latest PDF for Zone alarm.

I use it at home for my kids systems. I don't have access to zone alrm
here at work though. So I can't tell you exactly where to check
the program accessing and such.

Look in the Zone Alarm PDF linked above and look for the section:
PROGRAM CONTROL.

Should give you what you need to know.

Sorry I couldn't help out much more.
