I have a football question: why the fuck is "off sides" a rule? It's the stupidest thing I've ever heard, it encourages the goalie to run past the other players and shitty ref calls.
I love quake!

99% of the time the keeper is just the 1st man back. All offside does is stop attackers from hanging out in between the defense and the keeper. Also, the 2nd to last defender pulling way forward is often disastrous as an attacker can stay even with them until a teammate lobs a ball over their heads, then he's free to break for it.

It should also be one of the easiest calls as the side judge is supposed to be in that position most of the time but obviously mistakes still happen.

Pretty much the keeper's mistake there, was almost dead center.

While I'm leaning slightly towards the Dutch (it would be more but I've got Uruguay in two sweepstakes...), Robben is historically the biggest cheat I've seen alongside Ronaldo, what was taht scream all about when he was grabbed a bit around the torso? It was a foul anyway so there was no need to try and get the guy booked. And did you see that almost-leg-snapper from van Bommel?

I might have missed some Uruguayan fould because I don't get what you mean. Unless you're talking about the messe up bicycle kick, nearly took de Zeeuw's head off but it was accidental.

Goal of the World Cup from van Bronckhorst though.

I think he's talking about the handball vs Ghana. The bicycle kick foul was classic.

Yeah that and grabbing that dutch player around the waist. I think there needs to be football 'capital punishment'. :D
Red card and send off any players immediately who pull on shirts/grab players. That might make them think harder about playing by the rules.

There's a very good chance that spain will knock them out tomorrow.
no there isn't. germany will win the cup

They won't, because Paul the Psychic Octopus says so.

He gets cut down because defenders cannot afford to give him any space. Seriously, nearly every foul on him is real.
