Now that that's cleared up, that Samsung Galaxy S is a beast.

Gotta love tech drama!
RIM co-CEO's statement:
RIM co-CEO's statement:
http://crackberry.com/rim-official-stat ... propaganda"Apple's attempt to draw RIM into Apple's self-made debacle is unacceptable. Apple's claims about RIM products appear to be deliberate attempts to distort the public's understanding of an antenna design issue and to deflect attention from Apple's difficult situation. RIM is a global leader in antenna design and has been successfully designing industry-leading wireless data products with efficient and effective radio performance for over 20 years. During that time, RIM has avoided designs like the one Apple used in the iPhone 4 and instead has used innovative designs which reduce the risk for dropped calls, especially in areas of lower coverage. One thing is for certain, RIM's customers don't need to use a case for their BlackBerry smartphone to maintain proper connectivity. Apple clearly made certain design decisions and it should take responsibility for these decisions rather than trying to draw RIM and others into a situation that relates specifically to Apple."

Re: iphone to soon disappear ...
why was the apple antenna designed like that in the first place? i follow that some people are saying that apple choice form over function, but what form? it doesnt look too different from previous iphone models. i haven't really been following too well, so don't really understand what's going on.
Re: iphone to soon disappear ...

Re: iphone to soon disappear ...
yup! that's the reason why i even took the smart phone plunge. this evo was my first smart device...before this i was using a flip phone. the phone call functionality is more of a selling point these days than anything else, lol.andyman wrote:Cool 'phone', quotes because you can hardly call these things phones anymore.
It's the future of personal computing and this baby is the first one which IMO is up to the task of being powerful and versatile enough to be a useful.
Re: iphone to soon disappear ...
Right on. If I was to buy a mega-phone (heh) like these, it would be an addition to my regular phone.
Re: iphone to soon disappear ...
No discussion from the evo users of its widely reported terrible battery life?
Re: iphone to soon disappear ...
So rather than accept the fact that their latest little toy isn't all that, Jobs and his fanboy army try to bring other brands down to their level.
Lulz.

Re: iphone to soon disappear ...
Apparently you missed my post addressing this issue, and yes, it's bad unless you turn a couple things off. I did a bit of research and with a few changes I get battery life every bit as good as my Blackberry Curve had. The only big thing that I had to switch off was the GPS, which is a minor annoyance. I turn it back on when I need it, and I plan on rooting the phone shortly and there's more I can do then.Geebs wrote:No discussion from the evo users of its widely reported terrible battery life?
Hey Geebs, are you going to get root access on your iPho...oh, that's right. Sorry.
