Screenshots are "blown out"

Post by Kory »

Wondering if there is a trick to taking screenshots? When I hit F11 it takes the screenshot, and saves it as it should, but the images look washed or blown out. The lighting doesn't seem to match at all.

Thanks,

Thanks, I don't know what that means exactly, but I'm sure it gets typed into the console.. right? I find that I can hit printscreen, and that works for now. I will try your suggestion, as I'm sure that is the proper way to do it!

Thanks,

Why, Mis already solved the issue... Its a problem with the game not saving the correct brightness/gamma/overbrightbits to the screenshots compared to what you see ingame.

Return r_overBrightBits to its original value and the game will be darker but the screenshots will match this, so tweak gamma etc instead, or live with it.
