Best way to make GD an active forum again

That's the intention, hence the thread title. And when there are more posts in the main forum it generates more posts from the regulars, so you end up with more activity than just a combined post tally from multiple forums.

I can understand that point, for instance I check forums other than GD once a month... if that.

I'm not trying to make the forum "busy like it was 8 years ago". I'm suggesting a way to increase current activity. I'm 95% sure it's an idea that won't be actioned upon, but nonetheless it's a suggestion that many seem to agree with.
