So I have a new system and installed Q3 and all that to play some good old Threewave on XS4ALL.
It doesn't work unfortunately: I tried connecting to the server many times but get kicked because the server is running old version: I fixed that by reinstalling point release and not updating pb using pbsetup.exe then using pb_security 0 in console while staying spectator.
I now know from a friend (I cant get an error log made), that when I get kicked it is because of '"Inadequate OS privileges." This should be fixed by running Quake as an administrator. So I did just that.
The problem continues since I now am unable to start up Quake 3 in QTracker. I get the message 'failed to start the application.' I have checked my account and I am marked as and administrator. What is up? I am on Windows 7 and just want to play the game...
