A review of DOOM

Post by Eraser »

Kotaku has a review up of Doom. Yes, the original 1993 game. It's reviewed by someone that has never played Doom before, so it's his first experience playing the game. It's an interesting read:

Funnily enough he's getting all enthusiastic over the shotgun. He should see Doom2's double barreled shotty :)

single shotty > double shotty

read that article last night, pretty funny. tho he should be playing it till the end of Ep1 at least, to experience the whole secret area mechanics. invisible triggers, monster closets, the works.
those arent really there in the first 2 maps ey.

oh doom, still capturing hearts <3

I'm kinda tempted to write a review "roughly 17 years of Doom" from the point of view of someone who's been playing it on and off since it came out.
