Minecraft's finally gone beta (so it's also priced $14.95 now). Anyone care to update the q3w server? Cannot connect to it anymore using the beta client.

There are a few major bugs with the beta release, so I would be waiting for those to get fixed.

If there is interest to continue the server......

I would start the server from scratch, with a new, unexplored map. There wouldn't be any addons (with possible exception of autocarts). There would be no build cheats, so everything built is legit. Warps and /home will be disabled, so you will have to use minecarts to get from one place to another quickly, and this also have the effect of forcing people to build near spawn.

I would provide a link to download the old q3w map.

if there is interest........

I'm down. To be honest, all those build hacks and shit took away from it for me. Half of the appeal of that game is the feeling of doing everything yourself. If you can summon everything with a cmd, then the appeal is lost.

DO IT!

wouldn't disable the warps though. It's a good way of easily showing each other your creations.

But if ppl build closer to spawn and/or build minecarts to connect their creations then travel time isn't that big of a deal. You will have /spawn, so as long as a track is built from there you are g2g.

Always mating season...
The fact that anyone here payed $15 bucks to make lego worlds shows how pathetic their own sex life is... I hope you set them all on fire like the youtube video posted earlier.
Although... this makes me want to install DoomBuilder again haha ;)

I can connect without problems, but when I try to mine some blocks, most of the time they immediately pop back after I've dug them out. Hard to mine anything this way...
