Looks lovely. In game screenshots look good too, reminds me a bit of the jungles in Crysis.

This will either be a huge success or an epic failure. Would be nice to see some gameplay footage soon.

Zombie panic was somewhat bleak, it just wasn't fun.

Damn, that's a pretty intense video.
I was greeted by YouTube with a trailer for Rage btw. I was surprised.

Yes. Your logic makes perfect sense. It could never end up being just a relatively successful game, so the devs better get ready for some seppuku if it doesn't sell $1 B in the first weekend.

I had been following this quite closely up until a year or so ago when they kinda dropped off of the radar. To see them come back with such an epic trailer is great.
As far as I remember, they were very excited about their procedural zombie damage system.

Oh yeah, the guys making this are also the team behind Chrome and Call of Juarez.
Chrome was one of those games trying to emulate the success of Halo, and was pretty good, if a little rough around the edges in that Eastern European way, but the original Call of Juarez was fantastic.Again, a few rough edges, but it gave us one of the most memorable characters in gaming with Reverend Ray. It's just a shame they watered him down somewhat when they released the prequel, Bound in Blood.

Wow, that was a great trailer.
The no guns and ammo, instead scavenge melee weapons idea seems pretty good. As does the Crysis meets L4D meets Dead Rising look it has. Should be awesome :owned:

Definitely, but zombies are fucking awesome. They need to be integrated into every genre if you ask me. Cooking Zombie. A game where you play as a ravenous undead who uses human ingredients to make the best dishes on some walking dead game show. Wii Zombie Tennis. Instead of a tennis ball you use the wiimote to whack a human brain across the court (the net is made of human flesh, naturally). Give me time, I'll think of more. I could be on to something here...

Very promising trailer, going a step beyond by trying to accomplish emotional involvement.

I hope they put as much heart into gameplay.

Development started out on the PC if I recall correctly, so in that respect, the PC might be considered the "lead platform".

Ingame pics look a bit hit and miss, but the actual idea behind it is fantastic... Stick some guys on an island and just let them make their own adventure. Like it.

The trailer was also amazing... This may just make me like Zombie games again, IF (and thats a big IF) the engine is half decent and not as flimsy as it looks...

What I'm wondering is if you're standing outside on the street right in the open, how difficult is it going to be to sit there and survive. Is it going to be like easy as pie or is it going to be hard as hell.

Until I see gameplay, it's just a cinematic... although one that makes me depressed...

Competing against the L4D franchise will take more than a relative successful game.

PS. Fatty.
