Re: Sucker Punch
Thanks. I couldn't find an HD version when I looked earlier...
Re: Sucker Punch
Looks completely fucking retarded. Bet the fifth thing is love, and it turns out she's actually been lobotomized all along.
Will still watch.

Thick, solid and tight in all the right places.
Re: Sucker Punch
what really blows my mind about Hollywood is how someone with imbecile ideas has access to such high end movie production resources. How does that happen?
Re: Sucker Punch
it happens because movie-making is a business, and high-CGI low-brainer movies sell well

Re: Sucker Punch
I don't buy that, why can't they leave the action in and also add some substance? clearly they spent loads of money in the production...are writers that much more high priced than the rest of the production aspects to nearly completely dismiss them from the equation?seremtan wrote:it happens because movie-making is a business, and high-CGI low-brainer movies sell well
the "high-CGI low-brainer" only takes you so far, and movie reviews clearly show that a good story always wins, for both the critics and general viewers.
Cool CGI will only bring people in, but rest assured they wont leave happy...that's just not a good business model. No matter how you see it, a well rounded flick will have a much better return for their effort on so many diff. levels.

apparently it is, or hollywood would have gone bankrupt years agoTsakali wrote:that's just not a good business model.
Re: Sucker Punch
While I think it's stupid, as I understand it they only cut a single scene where two characters get a little bit intimate with each other. I don't think it's a huge loss for the movie.

America, where 14-year-olds are allowed to watch someone dipped into an acid bath and melt thereafter, but god forbid they see something which might look like sex.Eraser wrote:While I think it's stupid, as I understand it they only cut a single scene where two characters get a little bit intimate with each other. Re: Sucker Punch
I think it's more along the lines of us expecting it to be an over-the-top R rated movie from the start. Like finding out a new horror movie is PG13.Eraser wrote:While I think it's stupid, as I understand it they only cut a single scene where two characters get a little bit intimate with each other. Sauce for the sex scene being the only scene cut to make PG13?Eraser wrote:While I think it's stupid, as I understand it they only cut a single scene where two characters get a little bit intimate with each other. I don't think it's a huge loss for the movie.

Re: Sucker Punch
I enjoyed it quite a bit. But then I have terrible taste in movies so I have no idea what is generally accepted as "good".
The dream is dead.
