Some people have understandably been inpatient (I know who you are :p ...no hard feelings though man just messin` around with ya!) with my really slow progress on my upcoming map, so I`m going to post a really early, crappy and leaked (as in whole map being drawn) preview shot:

Trying to be a bit more adventerous with architecture. Got almost all the rooms done.

Not quake 3, but somewhat related. 6 new screens from Doom 3: Phobos

We just updated our site with a new devblog. http://www.tfuture.org/phobos

They are still somewhat WIP since we havent made the final beauty pass yet, and if you read the devblog you will understand why :)

Looks good. Would expect some more pronounced lighting effects though.

Thanks guys! :)

Well, we will release when its done. We dont have any real deadline, but we want to release in 2012. We dont want to ever go over in 2013. So whatever happens we will release what we have in late 2012 if we havent finished earlier.

Right now it looks like we can do it. Its much harder than it seems though! :)

A seminar? Really? Tell us more. How exactly are you using Quake 3 in your seminar? You're building roman architecture in GtkRadiant and use Q3 to show that? That's a neat idea I think.

Looks pretty awesome. But what about the glass? No lightmap stage?

Awesome. Love all the extraneous geometry. Really makes it look like it's a real place.

Ghost: Like that skybox! Might want to try rotating the tree around to get the branches to not be obviously stuck in the rock. The lighting could be more varied, it looks sort of washed out in places.

EmeraldTiger: Looks "expansive." Will have to dl soon...

Been doing some work here and there on Putrefactory, the neverending map. I think the delay is worth it, however, because through slow accretion it's looking cooler and cooler :)
