Ah, fair play. I'll have to try that.seremtan wrote: oh, maybe i didn't explain that very well. i meant, once logged into minecraft.net, don't log out (i.e. don't close the window) - just leave it at the actual game menu
Re: Minecraft - Anyone into it?
lol looks like only one "player" can be logged in at a time
Re: Minecraft - Anyone into it?
Oh I know why that made no sense to me: my fucking game crashes every 3 secondsseremtan wrote:i meant, once logged into minecraft.net, don't log out (i.e. don't close the window) - just leave it at the actual game menu

Re: Minecraft - Anyone into it?
server is right fucked.
Dropped my connection (again). Came back, was dead. Can't move because lag is so bad (zero FPS) because of that experience orb shit.
Unplayable.
EDIT: Can't even get to my goddamn shit because the connection keeps getting reset.

Re: Minecraft - Anyone into it?

Re: Minecraft - Anyone into it?
yeah perhaps save that map we started for the proper release?
or something
or something
Re: Minecraft - Anyone into it?
My guess is terrain code may change between now and release, so I might scrap... but I'll save it nonetheless
Re: Minecraft - Anyone into it?
i mean the map we started with the pre-release, rather than the 'btw cocks' map
Re: Minecraft - Anyone into it?
I was referring to the pre-release map like you said. Terrain generation and NPC towns and abandon mines will likely be tweaked between pre-release and release.

Re: Minecraft - Anyone into it?
are monsters enabled for the 1.7.3 map now or is it still on peaceful?
Re: Minecraft - Anyone into it?
They are off but if ppl want I will enable them
Re: Minecraft - Anyone into it?
yeah lets have them
it would provide some entertainment given there's no point in building anything on that map any more

Re: Minecraft - Anyone into it?
Played a bit today. Who are these people with non-q3w nicks who dont seem to recognize my Eraesr nick?
Re: Minecraft - Anyone into it?

Re: Minecraft - Anyone into it?
fKd (Iori_Dyson) and his friend Aufschluss. They created some amazing stuff in the original q3w map.

Re: Minecraft - Anyone into it?
nice. My slime farm will work now. And my strip mines are going to be hell (no torches thanks to the shader mod (ambient lighting))
Re: Minecraft - Anyone into it?
Is there an up-to-date map browser still hanging around somewhere? The one that uses the Google Maps API?
Re: Minecraft - Anyone into it?
Original q3w:
http://mc.quake3world.com/mcmap-old/
Spring map:
http://mc.quake3world.com/mcmap/
Current map:
http://mc.quake3world.com/mcmap-notch/
(not up to date because updating occasionally crashes server)

Re: Minecraft - Anyone into it?
will any of the other mappers do the job without crashing the server? like minecraft topographical survey, for instance? it's not zoomable (just outputs a png/jpg) but it does the necessary without the giant footprint
