I have been trying to make a map for quake and I need some feedback on it. This is my first map and I have learned a lot doing it, My problem is I'm not sure if I should start over and make one that's laid out better. I have uploaded the pk3 file in quakelive format and also a video of it. Any feedback would be appreciated. I do have a question about the curves you can see in the first couple minutes of the video. I have fixed these curves 10 times and they are gone when i test the map right afterwards, it seems that when im not paying attention to them they unalign themselves. Its the same curves everytime, I wonder if its some kind of grid issue im having.

Re: feedback on map
Select the control points and hit CTRL+G to snap them with the grid.

Re: feedback on map
- don't worry about curves for now.
- and if you're thinking about starting over, then you probably should.
- your map looks neat, but it's too big and kind of strange. I see the potential in you. I recommend you keep your idea, and start over.
Rebuild this map again, and stick to 128 and 256 unit sizes for hallways, doors, rooms, etc. Small/average sized room is 512x512. Hallways can be 128 wide, or even 196 wide, and 128 tall or 196 tall. Then do some interesting connections between your rooms. Crop out chunks of your rooms to make it less "box" looking. Make rooms mesh into other rooms, or other parts of your map. etc.

Re: feedback on map
Make the map smaller and remove those shader effects you have around the bouncepads.
