So I watched the video and he's basically criticising every aspect of the game, from terrible hit detection, poor choice of beta map, camping prone twats, killcount, poor visibility, a map overlay that is useless and even said it wouldn't work as an e-sports game. All of which I agree with. Why are you defending it again? They're not gonna fix all this in the 3 weeks left before it ships.

aaaand you know this how? If the beta build is 2 months old already thats almost 3 months of fixing what everyone sees now. Most of his complaints were valid, but they aren't game ruining issues even if they never get changed. omfg the minimap is horrible in beta i can't see enemies well, cancel preorder game is shit!111! troll harder, retard.

7. repeat for twenty minutes, and you have bf3

yeah its n00bs like this that let me run up and knife them in the face 10x in a row because they don't know how to play. Somehow thats the games fault that they're bad, can't identify the enemy, die all the time, don't know how to properly utilize your class, work with the team or pick a proper spawn point...oh and re-spawn is 10 seconds.

Well they issued a 4gb patch for it the other day didn't they? Did that fix any of those issues? Oh and last time I checked, developers don't issue patches for 2 month old beta builds, when they're trying to entice the public to buy your game. Nope, they may have fixed a few things outside the beta, but don't believe for one second that all the problems are going to go away come retail. This beta is a good representation of the final game.

Oh and the game has probably already gone gold anyway (or will do in the next few days). They need about 2 to 3 weeks to manufacture/ship it afterall. What they're probably doing now is getting ready for an influx of post-release patches, which fix technical issues, but don't actually fix anything the guy in that video is complaining about. There are fundamental issues with this game that won't be fixed in 3 weeks. Sorry if that hurts you.

lol, from what I'm hearing I'm glad I haven't bothered building a new rig to play this. I have zero intention of getting it until the bugs get worked out, and even then I'll probably pick it up for the 360. It's disappointing as hell because I love BC2 and BF3 looks great at first glance.

Dice have seemed to be responsive with game issues with BC2, but in an odd way. They seem to pay more attention to the whiny pussies than complained about people using C4 on the MCOMs and consequently reduced the damage that explosives do to them. Yet, two or three patches since the issue arose, they still haven't fixed the scope un-zoom bug, and VOIP has been borked since the game launched. They seem to spend most of their time nerfing weapons that gay nerds cry about being overpowered, and ignore everything else, like the fucking abominable hit detection.

Count me in with the group waiting for Rage...

ah, they made us re-download 3.9gb to change the folder name where the beta was stored.

that would explain why the game is still a buggy, horrible mess. thanks for clearing that up shaft

I'd just like to say that this is the reason I don't like the release of public betas or demos full of buggy and unfinished code as, in conjuction with the always hyperbolic marketing push of unwarrented expectations - usually in the form of glossy trailers - people will without fail be disappointed and come up with never-ending excuses to bash it. It's the same reason I don't think they should release movie trailers.

Sorry brisk, but you're acting as stupid in this thread as you did the nerd rage thread.

Oh I know sir, though in this case I did actually play it and all the criticisms levelled at it are genuine. Like I say, it's a public BETA and they're specifically asking for feedback. They're just a bit pissy a lot of it turned out to be negative. Can't fault the consumer in this case. Hopefully they'll fix all the issues and it'll be a good game. I just can't see that happening in the next 3 weeks before release however, but hopefully i'm wrong.

For what it's worth, i'm still looking forward to playing the SP campaign.

I'm sure they'll fix it...eventually.
Just like any game these days, it'll be released too early and be unfinished and will require 2 or 3 patches before it gets to where the devs are satisfied it's what they intended to release on day one.

Just to clarify, I'm sure everyone here knows how much raging would occur if they didn't hit their release date...it would be twice as much raging as there is now. And for that, I can definitely blame the consumer....and Syria.

ok to be fair... i played it some more and the steps i posted earlier are still valid, BUT since unlocking the ump45 the game has changed. this thing is so overpowered it's rediculous... plus the IR scope on the mk11 is pretty badass too.
unlocking the better weapons helps the gameplay but only a little. there are still some big time hit detection issues and wtf is with the knife???? DOESN'T KILL ANYTHING

Has anyone had the glitch where none of your guns will fire? Happened to me a few times... this last time I picked up someone else's kit, still wouldn't fire, somehow managed to stab two people, then they would fire.
