In the above pic is my monitor as MS Paint views it...that area to the left is what happens when I take a screenshot of my desktop, and I also lose my cursor over in that area.
How can I fix this...I don't even know what to search google for this one.

I suppose you're using dual monitors set at different resolutions?
You can't do anything to fix this... except change the resolutions of both monitors to be the same.

not dual...single. Should have stated that.
Maybe I have enabled an option in nvida's control panel for dual though?
edit: that area to the left goes off my screen where I can't see it and I lose my mouse.

Your computer thinks there are 2 monitors attached to it. I recommend fixing the problem.

check ur nView properties

it's disabled...and when I enable it I uncheck all the second display crap and it's still there...the problem that is

did you set your videocard as the main videocard? and unselect Extend my desktop to this monitor?
