They wouldn't stop existing if it just 'went out'. But when it goes through its 'death throes' - it will engulf the inner planets.....

Really, you should study a bit of stellar life cycle information. I am teaching this crap right now.

before the sun engulfs earth, the oceans would have been eliminated, and earth wouldnt be able to sustain life atleast 100 million years prior

Zerofactor (Ryan), questions about the lifecycle of our star and this solar system can be forwarded to Google. How you resolve current scientific theories with your Wiccan faith is your problem.

:dork: the sun wont suddenly explode. when it dies out, itll first expand a whole lot, incinerating life on earth and prolly dissolve most planets.

but thats beside the point :p

You would die. End of story. The rest of the universe, would go on and not even realize you were ever gone. WTF kinda retarded question is that?
Sorry, that's impossible.
thats a very scientific statement you make there.
very thought through, too :dork:

but if the sun just instantly disappeared wouldnt that make some crazy change in our solar system's gravity that would lead to an instantaneous death of all life?.... planets all accelerate at the speed of light to where sun was and collide with each other, or maybe we just instantly get crushed by gravity or eject from the earth with negative gravity as we almost instantly die
im not a physics guy but some wierd scenerio seems possible

Ok... I'll bite...

What's your "reincarnation" belief? Most forms of reincarnation faiths consider the existence of multiple planes or universes outside the one in which we live. Typically, a reincarnated soul would move up or down or in between these planes. With no Earth to inhabit, I assume all souls would just end up on a different plane and continue through life like Earth never existed.

The other type of common belief is that reincarnation only occurs from one human form to another, and only occurs on Earth, for the purpose of fulfilling some duty left to be done on the planet. If there is no planet and no more humanity, then God's experiment would be complete and there would be no need for reincarnation. Everyone would then go to heaven or to hell, or wherever your faith dictates your soul goes.

I believe in reincarnation, as in, when you die, you are reborn as another human being. (on earth)

yes, this is exactly why when you smash a duracell battery its reborn as another name brand.

Holy cow, the idiocy.
its just my beliefs. when you die someone else is just being born and thats your new vessel and you take over, you dont remember anything of your past life. but you keep going from body to body kind of thing. its just something i have always believed. you guys are awfully judgemental assholes.

So you're suggesting "souls" (or whatever..."personalities") never leave the earth? Then where do the new souls come from? Based on your belief, eventually something will wipe out the human population even if the sun doesn't do it. Our population will consume the earth, but new souls will continually be added, while non of the old souls will ever leave. Then the earth will be come uninhabitable and you're back at the same paradox you originally posted.

Also, you can't be reincarnated unless someone gives birth to you, right? So if we all die, no one can give birth, so no more reincarnation.

there are no new souls being added to the earth. just the same souls being used over and over. its really simple actually. and the perfect way for things to happen.

How is the Earth's population ever increasing, then? Are you suggesting some people don't have souls?

no no no...you dont understand,. thats all!!

god you guys, its like this. sometimes souls split in two and can be two people. but only people that arent religious because they dont have full souls anyways. we always need souless people too because we all know souless people cause all the grief in the world and middle east.

you guys just dont even try and think deep enough.

So souls will forever keep splitting into more and more people? That means you're only 1/1000 of a person? And when you die, do you have to wait until all the other 1000 people who share your soul to die before you can be reincarnated?

It seems like people will keep having less and less of a soul as populations increase. Far from the perfect way for things to happen, I think.
