No Sound

I am running windows XP SP3. I have a MSI motherboard, model K9NGM4. FOr some reason I have no sound. Says no audio device in control panel, sounds. I have the original disk and I reinstalled the sound driver, but still no sound.???

If its a onboard soundcard, you might look into enabling it in bios.

are your speakers on? also check the connections to the speakers/mobo. sometimes its the stupidest and simplest thing that can dumbfound u for hours

yes, but not relevant because it shows "no audio device in control panel" which means the sound is not installed.
