Pinback - Summer in Abaddon
Came out in October, but I"ve been listening to it a lot lately and I don't know how many of you have heard them. I'd recommend checking them out.

Haven't obtained "With Teeth." Planning on waiting until it comes out, and actually buying it. How about that? :p
I've lost some interest, sadly, after hearing "Bite the Hand That Feeds." It seems really dull to me. I really hope it's one of the worst songs on the album, or I'm set to be very dissapointed. Hey, sometimes the singles suck...not often, but sometimes. :(

I do agree though that "the" bands get pretty old. It's kind of annoying seeing thousands of shit names like
THE RUBIES
THE KILLERS
THE CIRCLEJERKERS
THE STOP SIGNS
THE RIVERS
etc

I mean come on. Can't they think of anything better than "The *object plural*"? My friends mom actually had a remotely good idea though.. The Big Fuck You. Though that was probably just funny because I heard it coming from my friend's mom 8|

Vai's wierd though, he puts out utter turds like Sex and Religion and Fire Garden to make you think he's gone off the boil, then comes out with pure genius like Alien Love Secrets and the Ultra Zone (Passion and Warfare's a given ;-) ). You never know whether anything by him's going to own or stink.

Sex and Religion is turgid sub-Bon Jovi drivel. The first track and "touching tongues" are pretty good, but the rest is urgh.

I note that you're not defending Fire Garden :p (Fire Garden Suite is good though)
