I cracked my ipad screen

I was angry at the world last night after drinking heavily and trying to meet women and failing so when I exited my car I wanted to hit the air like it was a person in front of me with it, but it flew out of my hand and onto the gravel. I later saw various screen cracks. I heard Apple will replace it or the iPad itself but will they if it is over a year old and a first gen model?
