Re: query: adding a monster to a non single player map
I think you should thoroughly think about your questions before asking. Try the following procedure:
- Does my question actually make logical sense?
- If yes: How would I approach the problem and can I test this?
- If yes: Set up a test. Does it work?
- If no: Can I ask this question in such a way in which other people will understand?
- If no: Go back to #1.
- Else: It's probably not worth asking. Go start a stamp collection.

He basically went on a rampage in these forums, getting mad at people because they wouldn't respond to his posts.GONNAFISTYA wrote:Since I've been busy masturbating and missed the drama, fill me in...cause I'm a lazy prick.deqer wrote:I can't believe this guy is back...
Now he comes back without an apology, pretending like nothing happened. Getting some good use out of the forums I see, posting in almost every thread, and yet again, posting mass amounts of screenshots to a bunch of random crap he done in the past.
The guy is a dirtbag, until proven(if he apologizes) otherwise.

Re: query: adding a monster to a non single player map
i'd look for something different than an apology.
1) does he understand the events that happened last time and why it spiraled out of control
2) will his presence lead to a similar trainwreck as last time
3) can he remain objective in receiving feedback
4) can he exhibit fair behavior

looking for things that you cant take with you when you die...
you guys just like to play who is "better" and who is "worse". your better than poor little me.
go ahead keep discriminating, stereotyping and junk, not to mention RUINING this thread IE:nothing relevant to topic.
but anyway, do go on children.. i am interested in learning how your "punishing attitudes" sho your true hearts off to your parents.

No shit Sherlock. He thinks that by having a conversation with himself he can nullify the crazy. Skinmaster, you DO know that I can view your IP address and find all accounts from the same or similar IP, so it really doesn't matter if you create a totally anonymous account, I'll know it's you.Eraser wrote:are skinmaster and skinNCNmaster the same or not?

BTW, my first post is wrapped in sarcasm but does contain genuine feedback. Your question lacks context and doesn't illustrate that you properly thought this through. My point is that you need to properly think about your problems, this place isn't for random hypothetical problems, but for more practical ones.

Re: query: adding a monster to a non single player map
i asked a simple question, a simple answer is ...
a) i know or do not know.
b) i heard of somewhere i can direct you
c) i dont know, i dont post.
i didnt start anything here, you guys did.
why o you keep mucking with behavior?
your choosing a other option, one that makes me your student and reprimandable LESS than you life form

you do realize that you are contradicting yourself, right?

i just think that nobody wants a repeat of what happened previously - from any/all parties involved. obviously what happened last time left some lingering emotions. you must be able to understand that. and that's all i'll say aboot that.
and i agree with obsidian... you'll probably want to clarify what you're trying to do. you tried putting a bot in a room and letting the player control use a trigger to control the bots access to a teleporter?
Re: query: adding a monster to a non single player map
it's ok, i speak fluent lazy, ill-conceived bollocks.
there are info_player_deathmatch flags for 'nobots' and 'nohumans' - you could put a bot-specific spawn in a box with a teleporter outside the visible map. stick a horizontal door in the box to hold the bot above the teleporter and have the button to open the door of the box somewhere else in the map (e.g. next to the teleporter destination) - the door will need a 'lip' of 0:
botbox.pk3
made with quark, so the map probably won't open with radiant - didn't add an arena file or whatever it is that makes bots appear so if/when you run it, hit escape > 'add bot' and add ONE bot (more and it might crash because there's only one spawn).
should've given the button a health so i didn't have to walk over to the bloody thing. it's on your left from spawn at about 8 o'clock.
not without the cooperation of the server operator because the map would need to be spawned with the bot.skinNCNmaster wrote:just wondering if its at all possible..
