"Voyager: Elite Force" full multiplayer for download (free)

The multiplayer portion of "Elite Force", an old game based on the Q3A engine and pretty similar to its gameplay, is dowloadable for free. It's part of the full conversion "RPG:X" from the game (legally, as the developers from the mod state):

"Well with this download, which includes the EF MP, latest RPG-X, the best version of the engine and everything a user could need to start roleplaying with present RP group king "The Last Outpost", solves all those problems. This project and file have been officially allowed by Raven Software and CBS/Paramount. It is all legit."

If you start "stvoyhm.exe" directly, you get into the normal multiplayer of Elite Force.

If you know Q3A, you will very quickly get used to this game too: It's pretty much Q3A with a Star-Trek skin. Supported game modes: FFA, TDM, CTF, Tournament. Mods included in the standard multiplayer game: Instagib, Last Man Standing. Also: "Assimilation" (Borg against Starfleet), "Specialties" (class based TDM).

Gameplay is much faster than this though, it seems g_speed is 250 while most servers use 275 or 300.

Nope, not much different. Even the code is pretty similar. I modded for EF and Q3A and the code differs most handling the weapons and pickups, since it has more variation in EF than in Q3A (weapons have two firemodes, and you have pickups like placeable shieldwalls or detpacks). But its actually nicer to mod for EF, because you have all the single player resources (models, sounds) you can use .

EF multiplayer is pretty much a total conversion of Q3A, nothing more than a standalone mod of Q3A.
