Lord of the Rings thesp Sean Bean has joined the cast of the forthcoming game-to-film adaptation of Silent Hill, according to today's Hollywood Reporter.
Variety adds that Laurie Holden, Deborah Kara Unger, Kim Coates and Tanya Allen have also joined the cast in unspecified roles.

he is the male lead.
so yea, somebody did say he was the lead
I'll admit he does look the guy from the first game.
Hmm... I want this movie to be good so bad. But who wants to bet it will be a 12 with hardly any gore and be nothing like the games just so they can make an extra $1m

nothing like the games you mean.
although, both SH2 and 4 dont really have that much gore. which is good IMO. its creepier if you just cant see whats making that horrible sound or whatnot

Yes, sorry, the games i mean.
I just came to a conclusion... As long as they keep the radio in the film, it will probably rock. I remember playing SH2 at like 2am with n olights on for the first time, walking through that hospital... Jesus fucking christ i was terrified... I wanted to go on but every step i took, that damn radio got louder, and louder... All you could see was some of a long corridor, but the end was pitch black. Your flashlight didn't reach that far... THAT was atmosphere...

indeed. liked that a whole lot better than the SH3 approach. lots of gore, and the radio was drowned out by the 'enemy-music'.
ugh SH2 hospital basement.. that weird squeeling sound
