This is the best that I could afford. Very happy with the result! I haven't used my Edition 8's at home since I got the speakers LOL!

too lazy to take a picture and upload it, but i have a pioneer vsx-812k, a pair of paradigm titan bookshelf speakers, a paradigm CC-170 center channel, and a paradigm PDR-10 sub. none of that is plugged in to my computer. for that i use the speakers built into my cheap-ass Hanns-G LCD. \o/

What do you use as a source for music if it's not connected to the computer?

Please takes some pics and post them when you have time :)

Do you use a line-out-dock with your iPod? I got this one for my Sansa Fuze, it makes a big difference vs the headphone out! You could even get a transport that bypasses the internal DAC, since this is for home use.

Listening to music and watching movies. I was buying them with music production in mind though, planning on doing that at some point.

My friend came by on Friday and we worked a bit on a track in Ableton Live, this setup is definitely handy for music production!

Same HD 800 + WA2 setup i've used for ages now. Once you have the best, you don't need to update.

More like a dinner table. 6x2.5 ft rectangular desk is kinda hard to find  Not only it look ghetto, it transfers static electricity onto my cats, which they transfer onto my couch :( I'll look into getting a used desk/table, but I'm gonna need to borrow someone's minivan to get it home.

It's still just headphones. You need to get some speakers, it's a whole different world!

... also get drapes instead of a bed sheet, and a couch that you didn't pick up from some Afrikkan's trash. Also, is that water damage on the wall by the trim? Those are pretty sick speakers though.

I don't have anything elaborate for my computer:

Also have these plugged in to my other computer, loud, but base heavy and high/midrange sounds kinda meh:

right now i'm using an old 70's realistic sta-90 and with some klipch rb 25

the realistic has a massive transformer and filter caps, plus it has the old power transistors that i like.

one of my source out is a computer using an old audiomedia 3 card , cheap and good.

sounds nice

It's drapes, not a bed sheet. I just don't open them because I don't want my screens to be in direct sunlight. The couch has unfortunately been destroyed by my cats, if I get a new one then it will look the same after a few weeks. It's not water damage, the door is just missing trimming in the bottom. I'm renting this apartment, so I'm not gonna fix anything :p Planning to move in about two years anyway.

I have an older version of this with an Onkyo receiver. My PC just has a shitty old Logitech setup that I need to replace and some HD555 headphones.

Looks nice, but how does it look in your room? How do you like the setup anyway? Does it sound close to what you hear in a movie theater?

I use Sennheiser HD580 precisions which I bought new a few years ago and which are great, but I have to admit I envy you wth those 800's. I'd love to hear what they sound like. I must pop into a good hi-fi shop one day and check some out, but at around £800, I can pretty much imagine how amazing the soundstage will be.

This is my set up. Vintage gear really, bought them all new back in the day and still all in perfect working order. Big box speakers you can't really get anymore. Massive bass on them and lots of top end, but somewhat missing middle. Metallic cones give a slightly harsh tone too. What I'd like to replace them with is something like the Ruark Epilogue II speakers or some floor standers.

Cookie for anyone that can name the artist on the vinyl cover in screenshot 5. I could be wrong but I suspect Big Kahuna burger may possibly be the one who would know.

I've spent FAR too much on headphones in the past 5 years :E

I also have a pretty reasonable Altec Lansing 5.1 system on the PC that I picked up years ago and can't find an image of online.
