Try sleep. It has the same effect, with less crash...

mmm, coffee.

I got an expensive brand from some godforsaken jungle country the other week for use in my percolator. The beans were handpicked by genuine oppressed dwarf people or something, and i'll be goddamned if it didn't taste like chocolate and rainforest. Yes, chocolate and rainforest, it was bliss i tells you!

Too bad i immediately forgot the name of it, i'll have to give the girl behind the counter a lengthy desciption of it next time i go there, might as well, she'll turn around and point at barrels of beans and start mumbling about where they come from and what they taste like and i'll get to stare at her magnificent ass whilst pretending to listen.

Caffeine messes up your brain. Shame it's in chocolate too.

No it's not, you moron. Not unless it's a deliberate additive. You don't seem to need caffeine to mess up your brain.

We consume caffeine in coffee, tea, cocoa, chocolate, some soft drinks, and some drugs. The actual source of caffeine is the coffee bean, tea leaf, kola nut and cacao pod.
The cacao pod; what chocolate is made from :dork:

too bad you used a percolator and not a bonafide highpressure coffeemaker. half the taste gone right there.

I googled it and it turns out that yes, there is caffeine in chocolate but the amounts are so small they're not significant in terms of consuming caffeine:

It's an admittedly crude device that i only use occasionally, but to claim half the taste magically goes up into smoke is a bit much... it's just different. More 'burned' perhaps than compared to some of my other, more water based apparatuses. I feel it sometimes adds to the coffee drinking experience in the sense that it feels rather primal to have a small metal coffeepot bubbling away on the stove whilst the house is filled with a strong coffee & hot steel aroma.

I have in my enthusiasm collected several devices with which to brew coffee, alas no highpressure coffeemaker as i'm not some sort of rich person. If i would be, i'd not only own a highpressure coffeemaker but also an exotic gipsy houseslave who would be my dedicated coffee brewer person. And i would demand a thin layer of goldflakes tastefully spread in the foam of every cup for reasons of decadency, and life would be good.
