the reason zoos shouldn't be around is because it sucks for the animals being cooped up in a tiny area, bored out of their fucking skulls. i could sort of see the point of them before hi-def TV and david attenborough, but seriously: if anyone wants to see lions, either (cheap option) watch 'planet earth' or (pricey option) go on a safari. at least that way you'll be doing something for the african economy
