GAME are shit and buying online is all I do now, but it's still pretty sad to see them go. I used to buy all my games and consoles from them in the 90s. All the indie stores have gone and now the main gaming stores are dead too. The high street is gonna become a ghost town at this rate. Grim really.

or: the high street will transform itself into a shopping experience that can't be had by ordering online, i.e. market stalls, boutiques, clothing stores, cafes

just because a few outlets can work better online (game retailers, banks etc) doesn't mean they all can

The shops on the street can do the same deals as online... They just don't want to. They would rather sting you for shit loads more because they know some sap will be a 4 year old title for £40, even though its £4.99 online.

Funny, all the markets near me have gone (I miss my local butcher!) and I pretty much do 99% of my clothes shopping online too, simply cos it's cheaper and most sites offer free returns anyway. There are too many cafes/takeaways though and like the pubs, they're closing down a lot faster than they're opening.

Internet killed the high street star.

that won't last long. selling digital goods from an actual physical store will only work if the store offers you an experience you can't get online

Hey look semencan is yet again trying to defend his God from those who refuse to worship him.

Yes...he was an asshole who sold electronic products, but didn't eat live babies. We get it.

But he was still an asshole. A world-class asshole, no less. Get over it.

you seem to be making more and more flailing assumptions these days, and getting dumber in the process

Dude you jump down the throat of anyone who rants on Steve Jobs. You've done it several times. I have no idea why and don't care if you buy Apple products. All I'm saying is that you seem to be following the annoying pc trend of bitching at those who speak ill of the dead.

Dick Cheney will most likely die within the next year, will you bitch when me and millions of others cheer?
I don't know about you, but I'm throwing a fucking party when that cunt kicks the bucket.

being fat can cause poor blood circulation...that includes the brain.
Maybe he's getting fatter?

But then again, brain cells suffer from aging too.
Looks like you're both in a race to outdo each other.

????

Are you denying that you bitch at people who insult a dead Steve Jobs? Like I said, it makes no sense why you'd be so sensitive whenever someone bashes him, but you do anyway.

Do you not remember anything that you post here?

Are you old, senile and needing a handjob from a 9 year old?

One of the biggest kick in the nuts for Game was to entrance of the Home Retail Group in to the second user buy back via Argos. They were offing silly money for titles and must have x3-4 more stores you can walk into.

oh i get it: you're confusing "wondering wtf is this crybaby lardball on about" when you sound off at the guy like he's the reincarnation of hitler (which i now realise is in no way a hysterical and/or sophomoric thing to do) with "defending the sainted memory of St Jobs of Cupertino from desecration by the ungodly"

yeah i can see how you might be confused given that those are two entirely different things :dork:

you should go back to baiting shaft and bkb. you might actually hit something
