Ha, that's some excellent design.
Reminds me of those primordial sea creatures, somehow, although there's no biomimicry involved, of course.
The thing's just too geometrical and techy, but it definitely gives a biological vibe.

You just know that some army in the world will snatch the design, miniaturize it and make it a moving landmine.
Other side: This could solve lots of problems in mobility which those earthquake search and rescue robots have while maintaining speed, as long as the step height is high enough. Maybe also an option for space exploration.
