basically, if you're paying for food with a credit card, then you don't have the money for it. starts off with food and gets progressively worse. credit cards. rofl.Chupacabra wrote:i too am wondering about that. anyone care to explain how if you pay your bill every month that charging food on your card is a bad idea? (especially if you get things like cash back)SOAPboy wrote:I do.. its called pay it every month on time..+JuggerNaut+ wrote: i don't believe in paying for most any disposable items with a credit card that's racking up interest on something that won't be around when the bill comes.
but hey, i can understand that it's the American way, so have at it.
Untrue.. i could easily go out to my ATM and get cash.. but problem is, i dont like carrying cash.. thus i use a Credit Card for all transactions.. and i treat it like a check book.. i mark down everything i spend to make sure im not over what i can afford..+JuggerNaut+ wrote:basically, if you're paying for food with a credit card, then you don't have the money for it. starts off with food and gets progressively worse. credit cards. rofl.Chupacabra wrote:i too am wondering about that. anyone care to explain how if you pay your bill every month that charging food on your card is a bad idea? Simple..
[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.
It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.
I am now sick.

why do that when you can just use a Debit card with a Visa logo? i don't carry much cash with me most of the time so when i do purchase something i know it's paid for and don't have to worry about possible pending interests or a forthcoming bill. what you're doing is basically procrastination.SOAPboy wrote:Untrue.. i could easily go out to my ATM and get cash.. but problem is, i dont like carrying cash.. thus i use a Credit Card for all transactions.. and i treat it like a check book.. i mark down everything i spend to make sure im not over what i can afford..

Why not just get a Debit Card? Although I suppose your method's so unnecessarily complicated, it almost feels like working for a living...SOAPboy wrote:Untrue.. i could easily go out to my ATM and get cash.. but problem is, i dont like carrying cash.. thus i use a Credit Card

That's what I do. During the working week, I take cash with me but on the weekends I mainly use the debit card.+JuggerNaut+ wrote:why do that when you can just use a Debit card with a Visa logo? i don't carry much cash with me most of the time so when i do purchase something i know it's paid for and don't have to worry about possible pending interests or a forthcoming bill. what you're doing is basically procrastination.SOAPboy wrote:Untrue.. i could easily go out to my ATM and get cash.. but problem is, i dont like carrying cash.. thus i use a Credit Card for all transactions.. and i treat it like a check book.. i mark down everything i spend to make sure im not over what i can afford..

I do the same. I almost never cary cash. I find I actually spend more money if I have cash than if I use the CC. I don't know how the hell people have a hard time with CCs. It's just an illustration of their stupidity. What, you think it's free because it doesn't come out of your account for a few weeks? :icon27:SOAPboy wrote: Untrue.. i could easily go out to my ATM and get cash.. but problem is, i dont like carrying cash.. thus i use a Credit Card for all transactions.. and i treat it like a check book.. i mark down everything i spend to make sure im not over what i can afford..

Plus, my credit card has something like $2,500 limit now, and keeps rising (I assume in part because I use it, though I rarely have more than $350-400 on it in a month) which always helps the credit report.
No it dont..Psyche911 wrote:Oh yeah, and I meant to ask:
Does it really have catsup/catchup/ketchup/etc & mustard? That's fucking gross...
and yeah, if i have cash, its gone, instantly.. with CCs i think about my spending at least
