lol, pathetic...here was a chance for you to actually wow us with your supposed knowledge on the subject and all you managed to do is prove that you're a tool...much like in the past...nothing has changed.

The question still stands.
Whats your experience that qualifies you to make such [retarded] sweeping comments?

in fact, the question just answered itself.

Lol I definitely don't need to prove myself to you, but I can actually hold a conversation on a subject without having to throw around pathetically approval seeking remarks to hide the fact that you don't even have the ability to formulate thought into sentence.

Your shit flinging behavior might have impressed your dead stare wife into spreading her legs for you, but I suggest if possible to change your frame of mind if you don't want to go through your remaining life completely clueless.

Now for the 3rd time, I give you a chance to add something useful to the subject.

Yes yes, lol.

Added? All the photos i've added? Where are yours? I'm guessing like your debt repayments, not happening.

you should need to prove yourself posting in this topic because over the last year you've certainly let something crawl up your yogurt encrusted hoop, fucking band wagon tard. fuck off, monobrow momo.

Good job on repeatedly missing the point :olo:
Seems that advice I gave you isn't going to work out.

You two should get a room and/or post some cool photos, otherwise STFU, aye?

Once you start having more jobs than you have the sense to take on, you'll see a shift in your paradigm. I've seen it happen to people that I sometimes have to deal with through mutual clients. I guess that would be a personal take on my part too :smirk:
It's not a personal take, it's the opinion of a four year professional working in the middle tier of the industry. My £1200 customers don't give a shit, because they only care about the finished product. The level I achieve cannot be done without extensive retouching.

I do have more jobs than I can take on, and I accept work only on the basis that I can realistically complete it to the standard of which my clients expect. I have, on one or two occasions employed the use of a second retoucher for pathing or masking to make my job quicker.

To be more succinct: The idea that retouching is based on time or cost is completely ridiculous, because many photographer's entire styles are based solely on post production, and can't be achieved without it.

Girlfriend took some shots at my last game trying out her new telephoto lens. I played around in Lightroom a bit.

Looking at a DSLR buy soon, budget about $1k-$1.5K and I'd like a lens kit (2 lenses) IE 18-55 and 55-300mm (?) for general use.

Nikon /Canon / Olympus / SONY / Panasonic / Pentax ...what to buy? I figure Nikon has the name, right?

Thought of a Canon EOS 550D initally as the local camera shop was having a sale :smirk: but I have to wonder why the $200 off sale on a $1K+ camera?

Been studying the internet after visiting 2 shops to touch/feel (don't like the Salesperson and their hard sell and extras needed spiel) and I am now leaning towards the Nikon D5100

The specs look &seem better and I do like the variable angle viewing LCD on the back of the camera.

I would really appreciate your thoughts/comments on the above camera for a (really) first timer DSLR purchase with a view to ongoing amateur & hobby photography.

Unless you mean it's kitsch?

In which case, I'd obviously say that it wasn't "an inferior, tasteless copy of an extant style of art or a worthless imitation of art of recognized value"

As per Wikipedia.

Lol oops, made that post whilst on the phone, got a bit distracted i guess.. :)

And you wouldn't? How so? Hope you don't take offense when i say i find it kitschy, i’m of the opinion there's skill involved in producing things that are popular yet awful, a skill that i can certainly appreciate. It’s perhaps a bit like a popsong that tops the charts or a good advertising tagline – intellectually uninteresting and often creatively lacking but not devoid of a certain quality that strikes a chord with the tastless masses.

I like the first image, though for some reason it freaks the fuck out of me.

Second image, lose the bird in the foreground, it confuses the focal point with too much shit going on. Make the horses in a silhouette (not completely, but should match the trees since they are backlit).

Like Ryoki, I'm not a big fan of authored surreal nature scenes. It's a bit like those wolves howling at the moon pictures that people like on t-shirts and sweaters. Tacky in my opinion, but there still seems to be a huge market of people buying that stuff up, so who am I to judge?
