Quick ctf base copying?

Post by dervish »

So I want to copy a base and invert it for the other team side, how would I go upon doing this? Is just redoing it by hand by best option?
Thanks in advance

draw a brush around the geo you wanna copy and click select inside.

then ctrl c, ctrl v

then rotate, move into place.

compile.

done, hope that helps.

ummm, not really my goal, I guess I wasn't specific enough... I guess I'm trying to make a reflection like the two high parts of dm17, not like just rotated 90 degrees

Same procedure fKd described but then use the flip X/Y/Z buttons instead of the rotate buttons?

Yup, bang on. There are buttons for rotating on the XYZ axis, as well as mirroring on the XYZ axis. Those are the buttons top left that look like "X|X".

Okay awesome, that did the trick :) thanks all you guys! Such a big help with all my newbie problems! :olo: I didn't think that was how the Y|Y style buttons worked, I overlook things too easily... Image

Don't use it too much though, there's a known bug where it will on occasion flip your genitals.

cityy seems to do a lot of CTF maps with mirrored bases. Just saying...

yeah, I spotted that one in his new one for maverick, doesn't do a bad job of pulling it off though, too bad his genitals are flipped now though... happens to the best of us...
