meow listen here, that won't be necessary. It seems that the episode re-ran very early this AM and my DVR redeemed itself. Going to go watch it meow.

Yes and there are only 3 more before a mid-season break that goes into 2013

I've only recently gotten into this show and I'm half-way through season 4 (I haven't read anything in this thread so I don't spoil it for myself) but I just want to say that Walter White is perhaps the stupidest smart-person in television history. Mind-bendingly stupid, no less.

When I catch up to the latest episode, I'll read through and tell you if your post sucks and if you should just kill yourself.

That is all.

I didn't feel like he was that stupid last season, but this season it all went to his head and he is making some crazy decisions. I think the pacing of the show is just fine. The greatness is in the build up and climax.

Anyway I think this season's episode 6, goes a long way in explaining any possibly "stupid" decisions he has made now and in the past... but you'll have to wait to find out his motive, once you catch up.

he got flipped around.... he was reluctant to start the meth business and quit it as soon as he met his goals because he wanted to preserve his family, and now he only wants to preserve his meth business because the family he was trying to save all quit on him. Deserves it though...

i was more talking about his "failings" with his previous endeavors and how he doesn't want to look at the small picture anymore... he wants to reach his full potential....and yeah he has kinda gone bat shit crazy.

Awesome show in every way. I can't wait for Hank to catch up and put an end to Walt, but since Walt is such a psycho douchebag he'll probably get Hank killed and then bitch about the cost of the bullet.

For me, it makes it easier to relate to Walt if I picture him as Homer Simpson. Whenever Walt is scheming a moronic approach to solving problems that don't need solving, when he's carrying something in a clumsy way, banging his head into something, lying to people in that horribly unconvincing manner or just being a smug greedy cunt...I pretend I see Homer rotoscoped over Walt. A brilliant scientist but a stupid person and an asshole who will no doubt cause his own demise.

lol @ Skinny Pete being a fucking awesome pianist. Didn't see that comin...

That actually affected me. I fucking despise Walter, and I know he'll die begging Jesse not to pull the trigger.

Great acting by Jonathan Banks. You could see the absolute panic in his face when the police showed up. Poor guy.

just finished season 4 (bound by Netflix streaming code of ethics) so I've intentionally not read most of this thread... have to say it is highly addictive.

Yeah, Banks has been consistent throughout. He's like the ultimate salty old guy.

It's obvious this ends with Walter dying, but I'd really like it to go one of two ways.

1.) He kills Jesse, after Jesse bungles his assassination and ends up killing his family, and Walter ends up completely alone.

2.) Walter gets caught and gets 100's of years in prison for all of the murders.

Him dying is like the ultimate cop-out. I'd really like to see his character suffer.

Actually, I just realised I haven't been emotionally attached to any character or show since The Wire. Breaking Bad is fucking awesome.
