If you want a grippy WOD try the Train Manchester Games (http://www.trainmanchester.co.uk/upcomi ... ions-wods/) WOD called "Grip Strength"

WOD 4: “Grip strength”

In 6 minutes get as far up the ladder of

Deadlifts
Toes2bar

Score is number of reps completed. Ladder to be completed as 1 Deadlift 1 T2B, 2 Deadlifts 2 T2B, 3 Deadlifts 3 T2B etc until time runs out.

Weight
Men’s RX = 100kg
Women’s RX = 70kg
Master’s Men = 85kg
Master’s Women = 60kg

If you need to scale any of the movement you must state on the score sheet (s) and specify what movements/weights were used.

Standards
Deadlifts = bar must touch the floor in-between each rep, top of the rep hips fully open and shoulders behind the bar. No bouncing of the bar off the floor permitted.

T2B = both feet must touch the bar at the top, arms fully extended at the bottom with feet passing behind the body line.

I can open a can of peas on the first try with my godlike grip.
No faggy tapping the bottom to loosen shit up, just brute force.
Just sayin'

When I can get them fully closed i'll do another picture. At work, we've been messing with the #1 and 1.5. Pinch a quarter with the #1 handles, and see how long before it drops. My best and second attempt was 23 seconds, previous was 17 seconds. Best with the 1.5 was 5 seconds but I'm pretty sure that I'll go over 10 seconds with the 1.5 next week. lol we waste a bit a time at work :)

Cheers dude - I do struggle with my grip after even medium amounts of pull ups/toes to bar/dead lifts/kettlebell swings/SDHP

Quick question; I have not got muscle ups, I dont have the lat strength or the motion of the "pits to pockets" ring dips. Is there any one exercise I can do away from my box that you would recommend to help me get muscle ups before the year is out?

Start using the rings more, really.... buy a pair and hang them up somewhere. Doesn't have to be high up, just somewhere that you can safely hit all the positions and start working the movement. Get on youtube and look up 'muscle up self assistance' or something and there are lots of videos that can help. Work the false grip like a mofo too. That has to be rock solid!

This is a good one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUKHjMmJbLY

That's big dude

I don't bench really but I know I can do 65kg (143lbs) and my body weight is 82kgs (178lbs)

Not great but then I'm not American so benching isn't important

I believe him. I'm not joking.

He's exactly the kind of dumb jock cunt who would've excelled at the stuff that makes a 16 year old cool, but a 40 year old broke and worthless.

lol, now i have images of geoff cracking open a celebratory Bud in front of his display cases of high school football trophies, swigging it down in one gulp before crushing the can and punching the air in a sad, pathetic parody of virile manhood before returning to his dishwasher and diaper-changing duties and internet braggadoccio

It's still very good results, I see a lot of people at the gym who are 220 lbs and can't bench this much.

Hey buffed up people. This pasty white nerd here is going to run his very first 10K at the end of the month. Never done 10K before (only 5K), but I hope I should be able to do it in somewhere around the 1 hour mark.
