About fucking time.
Ubisoft PC policy requires one-time activation
Given constant delays and onerous always-on DRM requirements, PC gamers have long held Ubisoft in contempt. However, Ubisoft's director for online games Stephanie Perotti claims that the publisher has had a year-long policy committed to ending its controversial always-on DRM. The reason? Consumer feedback. Instead, the publisher is now committed to a one-time online activation.
With all the shit storms going on throughout the gaming industry, it's nice to have some good news.

It's nice to see companies that use draconian methods to control their content see that it drives down sales.

What a PR fail. First Yves Guillemot claims 93 to 95% of their games are pirated, then the next week after some sceptical responses from the community and media, some other ubi schlum corrects this by saying that figure only applies to SOME titles in SOME geographical markets. Pfff.

Only a suit would continue crossing the street when they see a bus coming that isn't slowing down.

he figured it would stop, after all there is a car in front of it. Not saying I would've went...but lots of morons would.
that car creates a kind of a mental "you're ok" wall .
